• The latest figure is 10,336 tourists for Aug 2026, up 6.9% on the same month a year earlier.
• In the first 8 months of 2026 the total was 46,181 tourists, down 22.5% on the same stretch of 2025.
• Over the latest 12 months it came to 69,175 tourists, down 15.5% on the 12 months before.
• The change on a year earlier averaged −12.5% over the last three months, against −35.5% in the three months before: the year-on-year decline has narrowed.

• Trend growth over the past 10 years is 7.1% a year (least-squares fit on the logarithm; R² 0.30, a loose fit: the series has not followed a steady path, and this rate says little).
• Measured end to end, compound growth is -0.9% a year over five years and 3.7% a year over ten, on 12-month totals.
• The record high (12-month total) was 108,172 tourists in the year to May 2022; the latest is 36.1% below it.
