• In the first 8 months of 2026 the total was 195,546 bednights, up 6.7% on the same stretch of 2025.
• Over the latest 12 months it came to 280,244 bednights, up 9.4% on the 12 months before.
• The change on a year earlier averaged −0.8% over the last three months, against +14.1% in the three months before: the year-on-year change has turned negative.

• Trend growth over the past 10 years is 0.3% a year (least-squares fit on the logarithm; R² 0.00, a loose fit: the series has not followed a steady path, and this rate says little).
