Growth & output: every series
Is the economy growing?
adds up the value of everything produced in the country in a period: resort nights sold, fish landed, buildings put up, shop sales. When the figure rises, the country made more, not just charged more.
GDP every quarter
Output every three months, in total and industry by industry.
Output each quarter, in total and by industry, at constant prices. Compare a quarter with the same quarter a year earlier: tourism makes some quarters reliably busier than others. Gross value added (GVA) is output by industry; adding taxes on products and subtracting subsidies gives GDP at market prices.

A first, rougher monthly reading of where output is heading.
A monthly estimate of real GDP, split into primary (farming and fishing), secondary (manufacturing, utilities, construction) and tertiary (services) activity. It is the earliest signal of where output is heading and is more volatile than the quarterly figures.

Real and nominal
Nominal figures use the prices of the day. Real figures take out price rises, so you see whether more was actually produced or sold. If a café sells the same coffees at higher prices, its nominal sales rise but its real sales do not.
